sometimes I forget to update this for a long time. Oops.
Meet:
Always a bookworm...
and always messy...
Always a bookworm...
and always messy...
well, mostly always messy. ;)
These two are very best of friends.
Someone stole Noah's chair. She wants to be a part of what we are doing too.
Practicing counting by 5's. Each scoop of our "build your own colossal ice cream cone" costs 5 cents.
The girls dressed her up like a princess.
A wiggly chair full of kids.
Very, very wiggly...
She helped lick out the brownie batter bowl.
How to have a baby.
Yeah, that's about how I feel, too. ;)
Uh oh! I guess it's time to give birth?
and then, you just walk away and leave the baby on the floor, I guess.
Lucky girl got 2 birthday cakes! :)
Happy Birthday to Emma!!!
Who likes birthday cake and pink milk?
We're playing ice skaters.
It's blurry, but Jubilee's face is cute. She likes ice skating!
Isaiah came to me with a sob in his throat, after looking very closely at the pictures in this Narnia book.
"Mom, look..." sob sob "Look at this..." quivering lip "this poor..." sob "this poor sad dragon." tears
I love this sensitive boy. He is sooooooo sweet and tenderhearted.

She's kissing the Pooh Bear on her shoe.
Me: What does the bear say? (expecting "grrr")
Jubilee: Eat. Eat. (Well, yeah. That is what Pooh Bear says, but I didn't know you knew that.)

Hey, wait a minute... Are you big enough for that already? Time flies tooo fast!
We're going to the zoo. I tried to capture the two kids in the back too, but after several attempts, I still didn't get them and I gave up.
You'll never guess what her favorite animal is. I don't actually have any pictures of them because they don't like her. But she LOVES them. We don't have to go to the Zoo to see them. They are EVERYWHERE around here. She tries to chase them when she's out of the stroller (and it's good that they don't like her because usually they are kind of mean and "bite".) She knows what they are called and squeals it loudly whenever she sees them. She also knows that they say "Honk". Give up?
Geese! She LOVES geese! It's such a random animal for a kid to like, but she LOVES them. She gets more excited for them than for any other animal. Though she does know a handful of others and their sounds...this one is the clear winner.

"The other day, I met a bear...
A great big bear, Oh, way out there...
XXXX
And so I jumped, into the air...
But I missed that branch, a way up there...
Now don't you fret, and don't you frown...
I caught that branch on the way back down..."
XXXX
And then that bear, climbed way up there...
And then that bear, climbed way up there...
into my tree, to look at me...
hahahaha
hahahaha
Jubilee: "Oh look! No one is looking! I can make my escape! Maybe there are geese in here I can try to catch?"
Nope. Someone is ALWAYS looking. This brother loves her a lot. He wouldn't want anything to happen to her.
I did not get a good picture of this either, but I think the Komodo dragon was hungry. He was just sitting there doing nothing until Jubilee started climbing around on that sign. Then he got very agitated and came to the window and started stalking her movement and scraping at the glass with his forefeet and sniffing the air with his tongue and paying a LOT of attention to her. She was probably just about the right size for a snack? At any rate, I'm not sure she ever even noticed him. She was too busy swinging on the sign.
He is playing Preacher.
It's kind of a one man show with Noah. He's the preacher, the music leader, the deacons, the ushers, whatever. He does it all. "Here, sit here." "(singing) Glory! Glory! Glory!" "This is Jesus blood. You must drink it. (offering Lord's supper)"... "And the Lord said to Mary, you will have a son! Name him Jesus! (preaching)" All of those are real quotes from him. You can just see it on the little shelf by him is a green lego tree that he uses as a microphone for the music part and a yellow book that he uses as a song book. This time he had his Daddy's Bible.

Then there was the Sunday Emma's teacher gave her silly putty for her birthday...and somehow, she ended up sleeping with it. I'm not sure how it happened. Some snuck it out of my bedroom where it was supposed to be sleeping...and this is what we woke up to.
Crayola has directions on their website for getting it out of hair.
Apparently this happens a lot.
DRENCH hair with conditioner. Comb out.
All out. Not too much hair was lost...
(And if you are wondering...if it gets on clothing or something that isn't attached to a child...you can put it in the freezer and it is supposed to crack right off...according to the website. I didn't try that...but you know, that might be handy to know someday if we ever have silly putty again.)
Aunt Jenn sent them Easter clothes that all match so that we can take a nice family picture later.
Abby's outfit.
Noah's outfit.
Emma's outfit. She insisted on the boots because they have that same blue/turquoise/teal/aquamarine??? color on them.
Isaiah's outfit.
Me: "Jubilee, go stand over there and I'll take your picture."
Her: (Plop. Shake head at suggestion to stand up. Eat lego.)
*good enough*
*good enough*
Madeleine even has an outfit. She's due right around Easter. April 28th. So we'll see if she makes it in time for Easter or not. ;)
Jubilee loves these type of skirts. This is the one she got for Christmas from Aunt Jenn.
Aunt Jenn even sent me and Brandon some things to wear. :) (You won't see his on here as he was at work and didn't play try-on-the-clothes with us.)
And since I realize most of my pictures lately have been from the side... Oh, look! I do have a front! ;)
Abby dressed herself and Jubilee the same.
We were sorting laundry and Jubilee was unsorting laundry...so I told her to "go do something else!" and she did this. The kids were cracking up over this. They called her a baby koala. One of the girls took this picture so it's a bit blurry.
We brought in baby clothes and washed them and put them away...but we had to admire every single outfit with ooooohs and aaaaaaahs. Jubi had to try one on. The kids all kept exclaiming "Oh! Look at this! Mom! Mom! Look at this one!" and I had to admire them all anew as though it isn't the 4th go-round for "a few" of them.
"Mom, I think this one almost fits me!"
Aunt Julie also sent us a box of clothes. I think this one was one of Brennan's old coats. It's size 3, but someone wanted to try it on.
Polar Bear!
Aunt Julie also found some matching outfits for the big kids and some cute (non matching) baby clothes for Madeleine. Jubilee missed her nap because we went to the park and she was throwing a fit about taking pictures.
She decided she could only sit there if she had a pillow nearby.
Of course, getting all of them to smile and look at the camera and sit up straight and whatever is super hard. Noah was doing something like this most of the time.
And the other matching outfits that Aunt Julie sent.
Jubi would only sit here because she had her favorite baby and redhots that Isaiah was feeding her.
She LOVES redhots, but missing the nap made her only eat a few of them.
...and we're done...
Emma giving Jubilee a horsey ride. Jubilee loved it!
It was about 10 pm at night.
Brandon was at work.
I heard the door slam open upstairs and a little squeal.
Then the pounding of feet and Abby came tearing down the stairs.
"Mom!" She exclaimed, as I was stilling my racing heart from the unexpected noise into my quiet night. "I wiggled my tooth and BOTH of them fell out!"
She opened her mouth and this is what I saw.
The one on the right was loose for a long time but the one on the left was only loose for...well, neither of us even knew it WAS loose...but there you go. 5 teeth total lost so far.
I'm always surprised that they can sleep through the kicking (and sometimes it's even pretty "violent") of their younger siblings. On this day, the baby was kicking so hard Jubilee's head was rolling all over the place, but she never even flinched or peeked open an eye or anything.
Look! My hair grew! ;) haha! Just kidding!
She must know that she won't have my lap all to herself much longer. She's been extra clingy to me lately.
